| Welcome to Newtonmill House, a superb 18th century Lairds property set in the peaceful Angus countryside. This charming house overlooks a beautiful formal walled garden, with long herbaceous borders, rose and peony beds, and an abundance of fruit and vegetables. Character and history abound in this house, with recent connections to Glamis Castle. The Queen mother was a frequent visitor and donated many plants for the garden from the Castle of Mey. The location is ideal; only a mile from the A90 trunk route to Aberdeen and Dundee, and easy access to the glorious glens of Angus and the beautiful beaches of Montrose and Lunan bay. Your hosts are Stephen and Rose Rickman and you are promised a warm welcome. Bed and Breakfast with optional evening meal is offered. Rose is a Cordon Bleu Diploma cook and delights in creating and preparing special dishes using fresh local produce. |
